Red-Hot Sun Devils On the Road For Bouts With Colorado, Utah

Apr 7, 2022

TEMPE, Ariz. – Winners of three straight, the latest two coming against top-20 opponents, the red-hot No. 20 Sun Devils have a chance to keep the magic alive this weekend when they'll see Colorado (Friday, April 8, 12:30 p.m. MST) and Utah (Sunday, April 10, 10 a.m. MST) for the final road trip of the regular season.

Fans can follow along with live results, which will be available for both matches and shared with fans prior to match play. A live stream will only be available for the contest against the Utes on Sunday.

Fresh off of their big week against Cal and Stanford – which saw Sheila McInerney earn win No. 550 and ASU down both the Golden Bears and Cardinal for the first time – the Sun Devils (11-6, 3-4) made major climbs in the latest ITA rankings.

Rejoining the top-25 team rankings, the Sun Devils jumped to No. 20, a spike from their previous listing (No. 30). In doubles, the Domenika Turkovic-Patricija Spaka duo continued their ascent, clocking in at No. 21 in doubles rankings.

And, a day after she was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week, Giulia Morlet was listed inside the singles rankings for the first time this spring at No. 95.

The Sun Devils will have a prime opportunity to pounce on a Colorado team that is winless in league play this spring.  The Buffaloes (7-11, 0-7) have struggled as of late, winners of just two of their last eight contests.
