Cats Complete Three Meet Weekend

WALNUT, Calif. – Arizona Track and Field placed several athletes on podiums while adding multiple PRs between the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. Sac Relays. Bryan Clay concluded its final day of competition while the Beach Invite and the Mt. Sac Relays will conclude on Saturday.

Day Two
Talie Bonds qualified for the 100m hurdles to begin the second day for the Cats with a time of 13.27 before finishing in the top seven in the finals with a 13.40.

Jakob Chamberlin finished the finals of the discus with a new PR of 56.17m (184'-3") to place sixth. Mackenna Orie mirrored her fellow Wildcat with a PR and a sixth-place finish in the women's shot put with a final mark of 16.34m (53'-7.5").

Reinaldo Rodrigues highlighted a great second day for the jumpers with a third-place finish in the long jump, finishing with a mark of 7.73m. Alexa Porpaczy showed off her skills in the women's high jump with a second-place jump of 1.80m.

The women's 4x400m relay ended the second day of competition with a second-place time of 3:38.80 featuring Jenica Bosko, Anna Foreman, Dior Asemota, and Shannon Meisberger.

Day One
Chamberlin got the Cats started on day one by becoming the first finalist of the day in the discus throw after a throw of 54.12m (177'-6"). Youssef Koudssi followed his fellow Wildcat's example by qualifying for the shot put with a throw of 17.51m (57'-5.5").

Orie concluded the first day of the Mt. Sac Relays with her own qualifying mark of 16.11m (52'-10.25") in the women's shot put to move on to the finals in her event.

Day Two
The distance crew continued to earn PRs on its third day of competition. Maddy Christopher ran for a new personal-best in the 1500m invitational with a 4:29.26. The Sanchez Lopez twins, Ian and Iker, also put up personal bests in the 1500m invitational with times of 3:42.37 and 3:43.22 respectively.

Day One
Grace Driskill kicked off the distance crew with a new PR and a sixth-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:14.89. This time is the fourth-fastest in the steeplechase in Arizona Track history. Meggie Karp added her own distance PR in the 10,000m run with a time of 35:06.65.

Alisa Lyesina followed suit in the 800m run by smashing her previous PR with a top-15 finish and a time of 2:04.95. Ayden Schilb contributed to the parade of distance PRs with his own in the 800m run with a new personal-best time of 1:51.26.

Ian Sanchez Lopez competed in the second section of the 5000m run to finish the night for the Cats with a time of 13:55.13.
 
Beach Invite
Samantha Noennig was the highlight of the Beach Invite with a first place win in the women's shot put with a throw of 16.58m (54'-2.75") while fellow Wildcat Mackenna Orie throwing a new PR of 16.38m (53'-9") to place third. Youssef Koudssi placed in the top-10 of the men's shot put with a mark of 17.26m (56'-7.5")..
