Final Home Meet Kicks off Friday for Track and Field

TEMPE - The final home meet of the track and field season runs Friday and Saturday at Sun Angel Stadium. ASU will celebrate its almost 20 seniors at 5 p.m. Friday night at the end of the finish line. It's the penultimate meet of the regular season ahead of the Pac-12 Championships May 13-15 in Eugene, Oregon, and one of the final chances for athletes to qualify for the NCAA West Prelims (May 26-28).

Senior Day
A short presentation for ASU's 18 seniors will happen Friday at 5 p.m. at the end of the straightaway. The Sun Devils will celebrate the careers of: Dylan Kingston, Jalen Brown, Austin Kratz, Connery McLaughlin, Jared Tracy, Michael Chadwick, Ian Schulz, Keira Christie-Galloway, Alonna Johnson, Sydnee Larkin, Alizee Minard, Shelby Moran, Haley Smith, Beatrice Llano, Katie Eidem, Jorinde van Klinken, Emily Gallegos-Francksen, Cortney Jones. 
 
West Region Standings
The top-48 individuals will head to the NCAA West Prelims for their final chance to punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships. ASU has 40 individuals set to make the prelims at this point. #ThrowsU is heavily represented, namely by: national shot put and discus leader Jorinde van Klinken; No. 20 Mya Lesnar (shot); No. 24 Faith Bender (discus); No. 5 Beatrice Llano, No. 8 Shelby Moran, and No. 23 Lesnar (all hammer); No. 25 Cerah Moran and No. 29 Lillian Wyckoff (javelin);  No. 2 Ralford Mullings, No. 3 Turner Washington and No. 19 Ian Schulz (Discus); No. 2 Turner Washington, No. 20 Schulz, and No. 26 Mullings (shot). The top-16 relays go to prelims. ASU is in position to send the men's 4x100 and 4x400 squads.
