LOS ANGELES - Graduate transfer Ally Cook immediately made her presence felt with her new team, scoring two goals in UCLA's 5-1 exhibition win against Fresno State on Saturday.

Cook, who was an all-region and all-conference player at Oregon last season, scored early in each of the two periods. She opened the scoring at 5:38, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead at 5:38 off a Madelyn Desiano corner kick. Less than two minutes after halftime, she recorded her second goal of the game to increase UCLA's lead to 3-1. Cook finished the game with a game-high six shots.

Another UCLA grad student provided the Bruins' other second-half goal, as Maricarmen Reyes scored on a chip over Fresno State goalkeeper Kaydence Cortez-Garcia at 13:52.

The Bulldogs scored their only goal at 19:30 on a Kaelyn Miller strike to make it 2-1, a score that stood through halftime before Cook's early second-half goal.

Junior Reilyn Turner and freshman Ally Lemos closed the scoring in the final 10 minutes of play, with Turner scoring in the 80th minute, and Lemos recording one last goal with 44 seconds remaining in the contest.

Twenty-four Bruins saw action in the game.

The Bruins will officially open the season against Iowa on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7pm at Wallis Annenberg Stadium. The match will be aired live on Pac-12 Network.
