Turner Named to United Soccer Coaches Preseason Watch List
UCLA junior Reilyn Turner has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch List for forwards.
Turner is UCLA's top returning scorer from 2021 with 10 goals and 21 points. As a freshman, she led the Pac-12 in scoring with 11 goals and 27 points. She is a two-time all-region and all-conference selection and earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year acclaim in 2020. Last season, she started all 20 games and recorded her first collegiate hat trick on Sept. 5 in a 3-0 win at Loyola Marymount. During her freshman season, Turner was particularly clutch in late-game situations, scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals in the final five minutes of the Bruins' NCAA Tournament win over Iowa and scoring the tying goals that helped send the games to overtime against USC (86th minute) and Stanford (77th minute).
Turner joins goalkeeper Lauren Brzykcy and defender Lilly Reale on the United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch List for 2022.
