Oregon State To Enhance Fan Experience At Remaining Football Games

Sep 20, 2022

CORVALLIS, Ore. Oregon State Athletics is installing a full temporary sound system at Reser Stadium for the remaining football games in the 2022 season.

"It is very important that we continually find ways to improve the experience at our sporting events for all of Beaver Nation," Oregon State Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes said. "We realized the sound system wasn't at the level we expected at the first football game so we immediately went to work to find a way to upgrade it. This temporary system will completely replace the current system and provide better sound for all of our fans for the five remaining games at Reser Stadium."

The temporary sound system will be placed on the new west lower bowl seating below the press box and provide sound to the east side, south end zone and terrace. It will feature six clusters with more than 40 speakers.

Permanent enhancements are being evaluated and will be ready the summer of 2023 in conjunction with the Completing Reser Stadium project.

Oregon State will host USC at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Reser Stadium. Fans are encouraged to WEAR ORANGE to the game. The X-Treme AirDogs are back for another season and will do their thing before the game at Parker Plaza. The full Oregon State marching band will also be back at Reser Stadium for the first time in 2022.

Beaver Block Party, the one stop free tailgate zone, located between Gill Coliseum and Dutch Bros, is back for a second season. Fans can expect to find food trucks, beverage options, a large screen with out-of-town football games, pre-game with the OSU Marching Band and Cheer show, a balloon animal designer, face painter, visits from Benny Beaver and much more.

Beaver Walk returned to its 2021 location - starting at the football statue in Parker Plaza and running the length of Ralph Miller Drive. Beaver Walk begins approximately two hours prior to kickoff.

Fans are encouraged to check out our Gameday pages here and here. This will provide many answers to questions about attending games at Reser Stadium.

There is also a newly-designed parking information page. The interactive page will help map out all parking options for the 2022 season. Check it out here.
