LOS ANGELES – The UCLA swimming and diving team is set to open its home schedule this weekend, hosting the annual Blue-Gold intrasquad meet at Spieker Aquatics Center from Oct. 14-15.

The meet starts on Friday at 3:00 p.m., and resumes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Admission is open to the public and free of charge.

Heading into the meet, Blue holds a 77-52 advantage in the score. The two squads have been competing in various events since reporting to campus in September, earning points for their respective squads based on team relays, beach dryland competition, an on-campus scavenger hunt, post-practice competitions, and a weight room competition.

UCLA is coming off a first-place finish at the Fresno State Invite in the squad's first official event of the 2022-23 season. Claire Grover (50 free) and Katrina Bellio (1650 free, set a pool record) each captured individual event wins for the Bruins in Fresno, while UCLA placed first and/or second in 17 of 21 overall events.
