USC Swimming Captures 13 Events to Wrap Action at Trojan Invitational

USC swimming's Anicka Delgado, Isabelle Odgers and Justina Kozan each posted a pair of individual wins to highlight the Trojans' efforts at the USC Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15. 
 
With six wins on the table at the USC Invitational, head coach Lea Maurer and the Trojan Swimming program claimed five of them, wrapping up USC's home opener at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
 
Anchored by a trio of Pac-12 Champions, the Women of Troy defeated Auburn, Hawaii and UC San Diego. Meanwhile, the men coasted past the Warriors and Triton, falling only to the Tigers. 
 
The Women of Troy won a pair of relays on Saturday, with Anicka Delgado, Hanna Henderson, Elise Garcia and Kaitlyn Dobler combining to take the 200y free relay. Later, the Trojans would win the 200y medley relay as Aria Bernal, Dobler, Delgado and Garcia would clock a 1:37.18 for first. 
 
NCAA 100y breaststroke champion Dobler continued her unbeaten streak in the event, clocking the fastest time in the country so far this season with a NCAA A standard time of 57.83. 
 
Other big wins for the Women of Troy included a pair of individual victories from Odgers (200y breast, 400y IM), Delgado (100y fly, 100y free) and freshman Kozan (200y free, 200y fly). 
 
On the men's side, Chris O'Grady (200y breast), Harry Homans (200y fly) and Vaggelis Makyrgiannis (200y back) each won an individual event during the final day of competition at the USC Invitational.
