Utes in the Pros: 2022 NFL Week 7; Week 6 Recap

SALT LAKE CITY – Heading into week seven of action, Utah will have nine former Utes suit up for their respective teams, with four players on bye weeks and 24 former players on rosters in the league. Former Utes will kick off the action on Thursday night when Chase Hansen (New Orleans) and Leki Fotu (Arizona) face off. 
 
Devin Lloyd continued to rack up tackles and added seven more in the contest against Indianapolis. He has tallied at least one tackle in every game this week. Over the last three weeks, Lloyd has tallied 32 tackles for Jacksonville. 
 
Cody Barton earned a start at linebacker for the Seahawks this past week and added two tackles. Jaylon Johnson returned to the field for the Bears and started at cornerback and tallied three tackles and a pass breakup.

Three former Utes earned starting nods for their respective teams in week six, including Devin Lloyd, Cody Barton, and Jaylon Johnson. 
 

Following the sixth week of the season, Lloyd continues to shine and is ninth in the NFL with 56 tackles, the most by an NFL rookie this season. His total of six passes defended is second among all NFL rookies, and he leads Jacksonville with two interceptions on the season.
 
Barton finds himself with 48 tackles this season, the 19th most in the NFL and second most on the Seahawks. He has added one sack and one pass breakup on the season.
 
Mitch Wishnowsky tallied three punts for 158 yards (52.7 avg) with a long of 52 yards. He had one downed inside the 20-yard line, the 12th of the season. The 12th is the eighth most punts down inside the 20 this season. Earlier this season, Wishnowsky had a 74-yard punt, the longest punt in the NFL this season. 
 
Matt Gay hit his ninth field goal of the season this past Sunday when he hit a 21-yard field goal against the Panthers.
