SAN FRANCISCO – Pac-12 Men's Basketball programs combined to sign 39 freshmen student-athletes to National Letters of Intent (NLI) during the signing periods for the Class of 2023, 20 of whom are ranked in the top 100 of leading recruiting rankings services.
Of the 20 top-100 signees, nine are ranked inside the top 50 - the most of any conference in the country - in all of the four major services, headlined by top-rated players Isaiah Collier (No. 1 by ESPN, Rivals, and 247 and On3 Composites) and Cody Williams (No. 1 by On3).
Seven Pac-12 programs have a recruiting class ranked in the top 50 nationally by at least one of the major services, including near consensus top 10 classes by OREGON and USC, a near consensus top 20 class by UCLA, and the best classes for STANFORD and COLORADO under head coaches Jerod Haase and Tad Boyle, respectively.
Six signees were named to the rosters for the 2023 McDonald's All-American Game, equaling the most of any league and the most ever for the Conference since the event's inception in 1978 - Isaiah Collier (USC), Bronny James (USC), Mookie Cook (Oregon) and Andrej Stojakovic (Stanford) representing the West, and Kwame Evans Jr. (Oregon) and Cody Williams (Colorado) on the East roster.
Five of the signees - Collier, Cook, Evans, Stojakovic and Williams - were on the Midseason Watch List for the 2023 Naismith Trophy High School Player of the Year, an award eventually won by Collier.
The NCAA early signing period for basketball was from Nov. 9-16, 2022, while the regular signing period ran from April 12-May 17, 2023.
