This Week 
  • Red-hot No. 19 USC (8-2, 3-0) hits the road to face off against California (3-6, 1-2) on Friday, March 31.
    • USC is 104-17 all-time versus unranked opponents, and 34-10 all-time in Pac-12 games.
    • The Golden Bears return to action after not playing since March 19, hosting its fourth home game of the season.
  • Stanford (4-5, 2-1), who is receiving votes in the latest IWLCA poll, returns to league play against Arizona State (2-6, 1-2) on Friday.
    • The contest is a rematch of the 2022 Pac-12 Tournament championship in which the Cardinal topped the Sun Devils, 18-12.
    • Arizona State is still eyeing its first road win of the season, with four of its five road losses coming against ranked teams.
  • Oregon (3-6, 0-4) returns to Pape’ Field to battle Colorado (4-5, 3-1) on Saturday, April 1.
    • The Ducks earned their first-ever win over Colorado in last year’s Pac-12 Tournament opener, 14-10. Morgan McCarthy scored four times and had seven draw controls.
    • The Buffaloes are 5-0 all-time on the road against Oregon.
  • California continues its homestand against Arizona State on Sunday, April 2.
  • Stanford hosts No. 19 USC in an highly-anticipated conference clash on Sunday. 
    • The Cardinal are 9-8 all-time against the Trojans, including wins in the last three showdowns.
Last Week
  • USC defeated Colorado, 17-13 to improve to 7-0 at home against the Buffs.
    • It was the first conference loss for Colorado, who got a combined seven goals from Charlie Rudy and Ashley Stokes.
  • Arizona State topped Oregon, 12-9 in its Pac-12 opener.
    • Kaylon Buckner netted four goals and added two assists, and Katie Vahle made 14 saves to reach 200 in her career. Vahle ranks fifth in the country with 11.14 saves per game.
  • Stanford fell to No. 2 Northwestern, 20-9 in a non-conference tilt.
    • A total of eight Cardinal registered a point, led by Jay Browne who recorded four.
    • Four of Stanford’s five losses on the year have come against ranked opponents.
  • Colorado bounced back against Arizona State, edging the Sun Devils 17-13.
    • Four Buffs registered hat tricks, with Sam McGee scoring six goals.
    • Buckner scored a career-high six goals, leading her to a Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honor.
  • USC won its fourth straight game after defeating Oregon, 14-4.
    • It was the second time this season the Trojans have held an opponent to four goals or fewer, who also improved to 6-0 at home on the year.
    • McCarthy raised her goal-scoring streak to 20 games dating back to last season, finding the back of the net once in the contest.
Notes and Numbers
  • USC moved to No. 19 in the latest IWLCA poll, and Stanford is receiving votes for the second straight week.
  • After starting the season with four straight losses, the Buffs have won four of their last five with that lone loss coming against a ranked USC team.
  • Colorado’s Zoe McElhaney had 18 draw controls against USC, which is tied for the third-most in a game in the nation this season.
  • Stanford (.947) and Arizona State (.943) ranked third and fourth, respectively, in the NCAA in clearing percentage.
  • Stanford’s Ashley Humphrey ranks second in the league in career assists (111) and eighth in points (165).
  • Colorado’s Rudy had her 301st career shot on goal, and currently sits in third on the Pac-12’s all-time list.
2023 Pac-12 Tournament
  • The 2023 Pac-12 Women’s Lacrosse Tournament will take place in Berkeley, California from May 3-6, and the tournament champion will receive the Pac-12’s automatic bid to the 29-team 2023 NCAA Tournament. All five contests of the 2023 Pac-12 Women’s Lacrosse Tournament are slated to be broadcast on Pac-12 Network and the Pac-12 Now app. The five contests are part of 17 Pac-12 Networks will broadcast this season.
