MEN’S HAMMER – Jordan Geist, Arizona (73.82m, 242-2)
Arizona’s Jordan Geist secured his first-career Pac-12 men’s hammer throw title with a toss of 73.82m (242-2), the best mark for a Conference champion in the event since USC’s Balazs Kiss went 77.46m (254-1) in 1996. It’s Geist’s fifth-career Pac-12 title in the throws, as he doubled in the shot put and discus in 2018 and added shot put wins in 2019 and 2021. He’s only the second man (Dan Ames, UCLA) to earn the career triple in the shot, hammer, and discus in Pac-12 Championship history and the fourth student-athlete overall (Ames, Sarah Stevens, ASU; Maggie Ewen, ASU).

MEN’S JAVELIN – Jared O’Riley, Arizona (71.79m, 235-6)
The Wildcats picked up their second-straight victory in the men’s throws with Jared O’Riley’s win in the javelin competition. The junior secured his first-career Pac-12 title with a lifetime-best toss of 71.79m (235-6) on his final attempt. It was O’Riley’s first-ever throw over 71 meters in competition. With Geist’s win in the men’s hammer, Arizona became the first team since Oregon in 2016 to claim the men’s javelin and hammer titles.

WOMEN’S JAVELIN – Federica Botter, UCLA (57.81m, 189-8)
UCLA’s Federica Botter put on a show in the women’s javelin, going 57.81m (189-8) for a school-record mark and the fourth-best performance in Pac-12 history. It’s the fourth time this year Botter has broken UCLA’s school record in the event, notably overtaking fellow Italian Ilaria Casarotto atop the Bruins’ list. The Italy native became just the third Bruin woman all-time to win the Pac-12 javelin title and first since Bruin great Seilala Sua won the event in 1999.

MEN’S 10,000 METERS – Brian Fay, Washington (28:24.90)
Brian Fay earned his second-career Pac-12 title and first in the 10,000m with his winning time of 28:24.90; the Dublin, Ireland native previously won the Pac-12 steeplechase title in 2022. Fay became just the second Washington man all-time to win the event at the Pac-12 Meet and first since Dave Bazzi in 2001. Fay fended off a fierce challenge from runner-up Charles Hicks of Stanford, who was seeking his third-straight Conference title in the men’s 10,000m.

WOMEN’S 10,000 METERS – Emily Venters, Utah (32:32.98)
Emily Venters made history for Utah as the women’s 10,000m champion on Friday evening, winning the Utes’ first-ever event title at the Pac-12 Championships. She bested the field by over 40 seconds and was just off the Conference Meet record of 32:27.25 set by Colorado’s Abby Nichols in 2022. Venters is the all-time Pac-12 record holder in the 10,000m, having ran 31:48.35 at the Stanford Invitational earlier this year; it’s the sixth-fastest time in collegiate history.
