UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - The No. 25 Stanford men repeated as team champions while the host No. 19 Washington women claimed their first team crown since 2009 at the 2023 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships at Chambers Creek Regional Park on Friday.

MEN

Senior Ky Robinson cruised to the men’s individual title to lead the Cardinal to its 17th all-time team crown, breaking a tie with Oregon for the most of any program in Pac-12 history.

Robinson (22:40.2) led from the start and pulled away from runner-up Luke Houser (22:51.8) of Washington over the final kilometer en route to an 11-second margin of victory.

Robinson's classmate Cole Sprout placed fourth for his fourth career top-10 finish at the Pac-12 Championship (4th, 3rd, 8th, 4th). Overall, the Cardinal placed all five scorers in the top 15 to total 41 points and post a nine-point margin over second place Washington (50 pts.).

Also the league's Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Robinson is the fourth male to double as Pac-12 individual champion and top scholar-athlete joining former Cardinal Grant Fisher (2018) and Elliott Heath (2010) as well as Oregon's Galen Rupp (2008).

WOMEN

Stanford's Amy Bunnage became the third freshman to win the women’s individual Pac-12 title, the first since former Cardinal Erin Sullivan in 1999 (also Arizona’s Amy Skieresz in 1995).

Despite Bunnage's effort, Washington (58 pts.) edged runner-up Stanford (60) by two points to capture its fourth women’s team championship (1989, 2008, 2009).

Three Huskies finished inside the top 10 led by Sophie O’Sullivan in sixth place. Chloe Foerster finished seventh, but improved four spots over the final kilometer to deliver the hosts the title.
