A pair of rival quarterbacks represent Pac-12 Football as finalists for the 2023 Heisman Trophy in New York City this weekend with Oregon's Bo Nix and Washington's Michael Penix Jr. 

The annual award ceremony, where the 2023 winner will be announced, is set for Saturday, Dec. 9 at 5p PT / 8p ET on ESPN. The two are joined as finalists by Louisiana State quarterback (and former Arizona State QB) Jayden Daniels and Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. 

For both Nix & Penix Jr. the week continues a run of award-filled celebrations. Penix Jr. and the Huskies captured the 2023 Pac-12 Football title a week ago in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium to improve to 13-0 on the season and ahead of an invitation to the College Football Playoff and Allstate Sugar Bowl matchup against Texas. MVP of the 2023 Pac-12 Champ Game? Penix Jr.  On Friday, the Washington QB also was named 2023 winner of the Maxwell Award as the Collegiate Player of the Year on ESPN.

Nix was announced as the 2023 Pac-12 Football Offensive Player of the Year, presented by Nextiva, on Tuesday, Dec. 5 before later in the day also receiving the 2023 William V. Campbell Trophy at the 65th National Football Foundation Awards dinner. The award is presented annually to the nation's top football scholar-athlete, of which Nix was also the 2023 Pac-12 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
