Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Week (2/20/24): Yannick Malik, ARIZONA (So., Munich, Germany)

  • Was the highest-finishing golfer among the five Pac-12 teams competing at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii, finishing runner-up in the 120-player field at 8-under-par 208 (64-77-67).
  • Set a career-low by four shots and matched the Burns Intercollegiate single-round record with an opening-round 8-under 64.
  • Led Arizona to its first team title of the 2023-24 season - the Wildcats' 20-under 844 (278-289-277) edged league foe California by three shots.
  • First career Pac-12 weekly honor for Malik.

Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Week (2/20/24): Kiara Romero, OREGON (Fr., San Jose, Calif.)

  • Won the San Diego State Classic by four shots for her second tournament win in five stroke-play events so far this season.
  • Was the only golfer in the 63-player field with multiple rounds in the 60s, firing a 9-under 207 (69-70-68) which tied for the fifth-lowest 54-hole total and score in relation to par in Oregon program history.
  • Carded a hole-in-one - her first as a collegian and astounding ninth in her lifetime - as part of leading opening-round 69.
  • Became the seventh player and third true freshman in Oregon program history to win multiple tournaments in a season.
  • Second career Pac-12 weekly honor for Romero (9/19/23).
