Trojans Add Transfer Goalkeeper Laurence Gladu from Penn

LOS ANGELES – The USC women's soccer team announced another addition to its incoming class this week, welcoming in transfer goalkeeper Laurence Gladu from Penn. 

Gladu comes to USC as a graduate transfer after three years and 47 starts in goal at Penn. A native of Quebec, Gladu has also been in the Canadian youth and senior national team system.

USC announced its incoming class in January, with the incoming Trojan freshmen ranked the No. 8 class in the nation. Gladu is one of three transfers to sign on with the Trojans this offseason, joining Maria Alagoa, Molly McDougal and Maile Hayes.

Highlights:

  • Appeared in and started 47 games in goal at Penn, recording 193 saves and a 0.96 goals against average.
  • Earned All-Ivy League honorable mention in 2021 and 2022.
  • Had a career-best 0.81 goals against average in 2023, good for third in the Ivy League.
  • Was named to the Canadian National Team preliminary roster for the 2024 Gold Cup.
  • Was the starting goalkeeper for Quebec's provincial team from 2015-18 and was a member of the Canadian National Training Center.
