Jonah Elliss Picked In Third Round of 2024 NFL Draft By Denver

DETROIT – Former University of Utah Football defensive end Jonah Elliss has been picked 76th overall and in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. Elliss is Utah's second pick in this year's draft.

He joins his father and current Utah defensive tackles coach, Luther Elliss, in the Utah record books as an NFL draft pick after Luther was picked in the first round (20th overall) to the Detroit Lions.

He is the first defensive lineman from the Utes drafted since 2020, the highest drafted since 2013 and the ninth defensive lineman taken in the Kyle Whittingham era. He is now the sixth player in program history drafted by Denver.

2023 Quick Hits: Started in 10 games at defensive end before his season-ending injury, recording 37 tackles that included 16.0 TFL and 12.0 sacks.

  • Was leading the Power Five in sacks (12.0) at the time of his injury.

  • His 5.0 TFL against UCLA tied for the fourth-most in program history and were the most by a Pac-12 player since 2021.
