May 3, 2024

EUGENE, Ore. – Bri Rinn of the Utah track & field team ran the sixth-fastest time in the 1500m race on very rainy Friday evening inside Hayward Field.

Rinn was the second-fastest collegian in the 1500m invite section filled with professionals and just 1-of-2 in the performance window that posted a new PR in the event. The Lincoln, Neb., product led the second group behind the top-4 runners as the race went on and crossed the finish line with a personal best time of 4:19.70 for fifth-overall. Meanwhile, teammate Kyla Martin finished with a recorded mark of 4:31.55.

Rinn and Martin now return to SLC and regroup with the rest of the team before heading to Boulder, Colo., for the final Pac-12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Potts Field May 10-12.
