Beavers Wrap Day Two in Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -  The season came to a close for four more Oregon State Beavers on Saturday at the NCAA West Regionals.
 
Eight Beavs were in action at the regional with Anneke Moersdorf already qualified for the national championships in Eugene.
 
"We have a lot to be proud of with this group. We had some real good performances this weekend and some others who were taking notes on future regional performances. We have some young athletes who will be impactful at this meet and that is very very exciting," head coach Louie Quintana said.
 
"Excited to have Anneke represent the Beavs in Eugene in a couple weeks."
 
Jade Whitfield competed in discus throwing a distance of 54.48.m/179-9. Narrowly missing the qualifying distance by less than five feet, Whitfield placed 22nd.
 
In her first regional appearance, Dede Norman placed 27th in high jump with a height of 1.71m/5-7.25.
 
Finishing in under 59 seconds again, Kate Sorensen closed her season with a time of 58.77 in the 400 hurdles. Soresensen placed 21st in the west.
 
Moving up 33 spots from her starting position coming into the race, Sage Brooks raced in the 5,000m for 20th.
