This Week in Utah Gymnastics

ATHENS, Ga.—The No. 5 ranked Utah gymnasts battled valiantly, but a season-high 49.425 beam score on their final event wasn't quite enough to catch No. 8 Georgia in a 197.525-197.450 loss. Although Georgia led the entire way, a full Stegeman Coliseum could never get comfortable with the Utes hanging within a tenth of a point throughout the meet.

This Week in Utah Gymnastics

SALT LAKE CITY—The Utah gymnastics team landed one of the best gymnasts in the country today, signing USA National Team member and two-time national all-around champion Maile O'Keefe from Las Vegas, Nev., to a National Letter of Intent. O'Keefe becomes the third member off the 2016-17 USA National Team to join the Utes, along current junior MyKayla Skinner and incoming freshman Abby Paulson.

SALT LAKE CITY—The No. 5 ranked Utah gymnasts will take a break from competition this week before their final regular season meet against No. 8 Georgia in Athens, Ga., on Mar. 16. It is just the 12th regular-season bye in the 44-year history of Utah gymnastics and their second in two years.
