Woulard, Lasley showcase skills at UCLA Spring Showcase

Apr 25, 2015

Quarterback talk has dominated UCLA’s spring session, and rightfully so when the Bruins have to replace three-year starter Brett Hundley (all he did was set school career records in touchdown passes, total offense, completions and number of games with 300 yards of total offense).

Jim Mora has some solid options to choose from, and Asiantii Woulard stated his case for being the No. 1 guy Saturday at the UCLA Spring Showcase with this sideline bomb to Jordan Lasley. After being unable to haul in a beautiful Woulard throw a few snaps prior, Lasley snags this one with one hand. Impressive.

Woulard is one of three main competitors for the starting QB gig alongside Jerry Neuheisel (who can forget his heroics against Texas?) and true freshman Josh Rosen, who Yogi Roth considers the most gifted passer in the Pac-12. Should be a fun competition to track in August.

UCLA opens the 2015 campaign at home against Virginia on Sept. 5.
