Smith's 15-yard passing touchdown with 9:09 left in the fourth quarter tied the game 17-17 with Washington punching in two field goals for the win. Smith's 92.3 passing rating in the game was a season-high for the former Ute.
In the Denver vs. Kansas City game, former Ute Tim Patrick scored two touchdowns for the Broncos but unfortunately the team couldn't come away with the win. Patrick caught a five-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give Denver a 10-3 lead and a 10-yard receiving score in the third to put them up 16-12, but Kansas City would rally and win 22-16.

On the defensive side of the ball, John Penisini was key in Detroit beating the Chicago Bears this past week, racking up three tackles and a key fumble recovery. Penisini's fumble recovery came on the Chicago seven-yard line with less than two minutes to go in the game with Detroit scoring on the next drive to take the 34-30 lead that would win the game.
Javelin Guidry had a career day in the New York Jets' game against Las Vegas, recording a career-high six tackles with two forced fumbles. It was his second-straight game with a forced fumble, also forcing one against the Dolphins the week before.
