Football
Oct 26, 2019
Stanford quarterback K.J. Costello threw for a season-high 312 yards and three touchdowns on 30-of-43 pass attempts to lead the Cardinal to a 41-31 victory over Arizona on Saturday at The Farm. Costello is the first Stanford quarterback this season to eclipse 300 yards in a game. Junior cornerback Paulson Adebo had two interceptions, including a late-game interception to secure Saturday's victory, to lead the Cardinal on the defensive side of the field; his two-interception performance marks the second time in his career he finished a game with multiple interceptions. Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate ended the day with 205 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 17-33 attempts. Tate also tallied 107 yards and one touchdown on the ground to lead the Wildcats running game – ninth time in his career he has rushed for at least 100 yards in a game.
