Joe Roth's memory continues to inspire the Cal football program decades later

Former Cal quarterback Joe Roth played just two seasons in Berkeley, showing tremendous promise before he passed away in 1977 from melanoma. The Golden Bears continue to honor him, dedicating their annual home game against either USC or UCLA to his memory.
