Current and former Pac-12 student-athletes share their plans for celebrating Juneteenth and how the holiday has taken on extra meaning in light of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis and the Black Lives Matter protests taking place across the nation. Juneteenth commemorates the day when slaves in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free in 1865, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
