Matt Barkley under center for Chip Kelly in place of Nick Foles

Oct 20, 2013

Matt Barkley, Nick Foles and Chip Kelly no longer suit up for the Pac-12 on game days, but they're having a Pac-12 party in the NFL.

Former Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly, in his first year coaching in the pros, has gone through a pair of Pac-12 quarterbacks: First, former Arizona Wildcat Nick Foles, and now Matt Barkley, the first-year quarterback from USC. Barkley stepped in Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys in relief of Foles, who was pulled from the game with a head injury.

However, Barkley didn't help the Eagles' cause against the Cowboys as he went just 11-20 for 129 yards, throwing three interceptions. With Foles likely out for at least one more week and Michael Vick still not 100 percent from his injury earlier this year, Barkley might get another chance to show his skills in the pocket against the New York Giants next week.
