Video: QB Yam 'throws caution to the wind,' picks Ronnie Lott University

Feb 5, 2014

If you frequent Pac-12.com, then you probably know a little about the recruitment of hot-shot quarterback Michael Yam. Manhattan Beach University head coach Rick Neuheisel and Venice University head honcho Yogi Roth have been hot on the pursuit for this can't-miss recruit, but Yam threw them all a curveball by signing a letter of intent with Ronnie Lott University on National Signing Day.

"Thank you, Mike Yam, for being a part of Ronnie Lott University, and I promise you one day in your life you will be wearing a Super Bowl ring," said Ronnie Lott, head football coach and founder of Ronnie Lott University.

As one would expect, this news came to the great dismay of Neuheisel and Roth, who said Yam had given a soft verbal to Venice the night before.

"I don't know where we're going to find another 5'6" quarterback," Neuheisel said.
