Video: Montgomery returns first punt of the season for a touchdown

It didn’t take long for Stanford wide receiver Ty Montgomery to remind everyone why he was a consensus All-American as a returner in 2013. On his first touch of the 2014 season, Montgomery returned a Colby Wadman punt 60 yards for a touchdown to give the Cardinal an early 7-0 lead over the Aggies, as seen on Pac-12 Networks.

Montgomery averaged 30.3 yards per kick return last season, including two touchdowns. This season, Montgomery is returning punts for the first time in his career. It looks like he won’t have any issues adjusting to the new role.
