Final week of the regular season for women's soccer

Nov 3, 2015

• Rivalry week for Pac-12 women's soccer has arrived. Each school will square off against its rival in hopes of finishing off the regular season on a high note. No. 3 STANFORD won the 2015 Pac-12 title after beating then-No. 16 USC and UCLA last weekend. It is the Cardinal's 10th title in program history and the fifth in the last seven years. To wrap up the regular season, Stanford hosts No. 20 CALIFORNIA at 6 p.m. PT on Fri., Nov. 6 (Pac-12 Bay Area). No. 14 USC locked up the second-place spot in the league after beating California. The Trojans will head to UCLA for a match at 6 p.m. PT on Friday (Pac-12 Los Angeles).

• The NCAA Tournament selection show will be broadcast live on NCAA.com at 1:30 p.m. PT on Monday, Nov. 9. For more information on the road to the NCAA Women's College Cup, click here.

• Four Pac-12 teams are ranked in the NSCAA poll this week. Stanford moved up to the No. 3 spot and USC jumped two spots and now sits at No. 14. California stayed at No. 20 while Arizona is dropped two spots to No. 23. WASHINGTON STATE and WASHINGTON both received votes.

• With just one Conference match remaining, the Pac-12 has six teams in the top-40 of the NCAA's latest RPI rankings. Stanford leads the Conference at No. 4, Arizona sits at No. 17, California is 21st, USC is 22nd, Washington State is 30th and Washington holds the No. 40 spot.

• Stanford collected all three Pac-12 weekly accolades this week after claiming the Pac-12 title last weekend. Jordan DiBiasi took home Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Alana Cook was voted Defensive Player of the Week and Jane Campbell was tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week for the second-straight week.

• Defense has been stout among the league's members in the 2015 season. Three Pac-12 teams rank in the top 20 in the country in goals against average (GAA) with Stanford leading the way. The Cardinal have allowed just 10 goals in 18 games for a .544 GAA, good for No. 15 in the country. USC (No. 18, .572 GAA) and California (No. 19, .582 GAA) join Stanford in the top 20.

• Individually, Emily Boyd of California has the best GAA in the Pac-12 at .538, a mark that ranks 17th nationally. Sammy Jo Prudhomme of USC (No. 19, .572 GAA), Campbell (No. 22, .59 GAA) both rank in the top 25 nationally in the category, as well.

• The Pac-12's leading point scorer, Arielle Ship of California is tied for 23rd in the country in points per game at 1.70. She has tallied 14 goals (two hat-tricks) and six assists on the year. With 34 total points, she sits at No. 11 in the country (goals worth two points, assists worth one point).

Gabi Stoian of Arizona leads the league in assists with eight on the year. Her total is tied for 30th in the country.

National recognition continues to pour in for student-athletes from the Conference. Ship earned honorable mention recognition on the TopDrawerSoccer DI Team of the Week.
