SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 today announced its women’s basketball Players of the Week, presented by Nextiva.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Alissa Pili, So., F, USC (Anchorage, Alaska)
2 GP, 17.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, .462 FG (12-26), .909 FT (10-11).
  • Paced the Trojans in the win at Washington with 17 points on 6-of-14 (.429) shooting and added six rebounds.
  • Went 6-of-12 (.500) from the floor and was a perfect 5-of-5 (1.000) from the line for 18 points against Washington State to lead USC to its first Pac-12 road sweep of the season.
  • This is Pili’s first career weekly honor and USC’s 49th all-time.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Charlisse Leger-Walker, Fr., G, WASHINGTON STATE (Waikato, New Zealand)
2 GP, 26.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, .424 FG (14-33), .421 3FG (8-19).
  • Scored 28 points to help Washington State upset No. 5 UCLA in the Cougars’ first win over a top-five opponent in program history.
  • Shot 4-of-8 (.500) from beyond the arc against the Bruins, including a game-clinching three with 42 seconds remaining, and went 10-of-12 (.833) from the charity stripe.
  • Poured in 24 points and handed out seven assists without committing a turnover against USC.
  • This is Leger-Walker’s sixth Freshman of the Week nod, two shy of tying former California standout Kristine Anigwe for the most Pac-12 Freshman of the Week awards all-time.
