Smith Reaches Medal Stand

TOKYO – Before she steps foot on Stanford's campus, Regan Smith is bring a championship pedigree to The Farm. Smith earned the first Olympic medal of her career – earning the bronze in the 100m back at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

An incoming freshman who deferred enrollment for a year, Smith finished third in the finals of the 100m back at the Olympic games, at only the age of 19, with a time of 58.05 on Monday night.

Smith set the Olympic record in both the prelims and semifinals of the event, before gold medal winner Kaylee McKeown broke the record in Monday's finals.
