Beavers Host Oregon for Rivalry Series

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's soccer team closes out the regular season with its Rivalry Series match against Oregon on Friday at 7 p.m. Prior to kickoff, the Beavers will honor their four seniors: Bridgette Skiba, Kaillen Fried, Laura Galceran, and Mylene Gorzynski. The match will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network and tickets are available for purchase ranging from $4-$6.

Last Time Out
The Beavers fell to Washington, 2-1, on Oct. 28. Freshman McKenna Martinez scored OSU's sole goal of the match in the 60th minute of action. 
 
On Oct. 31, Oregon State dropped a heartbreaker to Washington State, 3-2, in overtime. In the 12th minute of play, Martinez headed the ball in the net off redshirt junior Helena Brown's cross. Martinez found the back of the net with her right foot  in the 23rd minute, assisted once again by Brown. The Beavers led the Cougars for 65 minutes before WSU tied the match in the 88th minute after a penalty kick was rewarded off an OSU handball in the box. Washington State sealed the victory in overtime with a golden goal to edge past the Orange & Black, 3-2. 
 
Last Time Against Oregon
Oregon State clashed with Oregon twice in the spring season, falling to the Ducks on Mar. 19, 2-0, in Corvallis, Ore. and on April 16, 1-0, in overtime, in Eugene. The Beavers' all-time record with the Ducks is 14-12-2.
 
Scouting Oregon
Oregon is  9-4-5 (4-4-2 Pac-12) and coming off losses to Washington State and Washington. In conference play, the Ducks earned a double overtime victory over Utah (Oct. 24) and ties with Colorado (Oct. 21) and No. 3 UCLA (Sept. 24). Oregon earned shutouts against California (Sept. 30), Arizona (Oct. 7), and Arizona State (Oct. 10). 
 
Junior Ally Cook is Oregon's top scorer, tallying eight goals and two game-winners. In the assists category seniors Zoe Hasenauer and Chai Cortez are tied with five assists apiece. In goal, sophomore Leah Freeman has clocked 1448:21 minutes, posting 70 saves and allowing 13 goals. The Ducks have scored 27 goals compared to 18 scored by opponents. 
 
The Ducks went 6-5-5 (4-4-3 Pac-12) in the spring. Oregon posted five shutouts on the season, three of which spanned from  Mar. 14 to Mar. 26. On Feb. 26, the Ducks edged past Stanford, 2-1.
