SAN FRANCISCO - Relive Stanford women’s basketball’s historic National Championship run during a brand-new episode of “Our Stories: All In: The 2020-21 Stanford Cardinal,” presented by Carvana, debuting this Friday, Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. MT, following No. 2 Stanford’s clash with Oregon, on Pac-12 Network.

The 2020-21 season was one for the ages for the Cardinal, which capped off its adversity-filled campaign with the third National Championship in school history. Pac-12 Networks turns back the clock to relive Stanford’s triumphant title run, which included 86 days in a hotel, a nearly 10 week-long road trip, and just six true home games in Maples Pavilion due to COVID-19 protocols.

Along the way, head coach Tara VanDerveer passed Pat Summitt to become the winningest coach in women’s college basketball history, and the Cardinal came together despite the trials and tribulations caused by the pandemic.

“People might say it’s the COVID championship and it might have an asterisk, but that asterisk is a strong asterisk. That’s not to diminish what we did, that actually highlights what we did,” said VanDerveer. “We won in spite of all the testing, in spite of all the protocols. We were able to stay healthy and stick together, and not give in.”

The season took Stanford to many places, including The Farm, Las Vegas, Santa Cruz, Calif. and finally to San Antonio, Texas for the NCAA Tournament, in which the top-seeded Cardinal outlasted Arizona in an all-Pac-12 final to take the crown, and add another trophy to VanDerveer’s unprecedented legacy.

“I think Tara winning another championship was the cherry on top after so many years, people questioning, was she ever going to win another one, when is she going to retire,” said former Stanford guard Kiana Williams. “Just to see her back on top, winning a national championship the same year she became the winningest women’s head coach, that just cemented her as one of the greatest coaches of all time.”

Fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at Stanford’s practices and team meetings, as well as exclusive interviews with players, VanDerveer and Pac-12 Networks’ talent including Mary Murphy, Ann Schatz and Elise Woodward. Catch  “Our Stories: All In: The 2020-21 Stanford Cardinal,” presented by Carvana, immediately following No. 2 Stanford’s key conference showdown with Oregon, which tips off at 7 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network.
