Colorado Hosts Oregon Sunday

Mar 30, 2022

BOULDER – The University of Colorado women's tennis team hosts No.36-ranked Oregon Sunday at 11 a.m. at the CU South Campus Tennis Complex but will move the match indoors to the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center at 10 a.m. if weather becomes a factor.

The Buffaloes (6-10, 0-6 Pac-12) are coming off a sweep against Wyoming in Laramie and hope to ride that momentum into the first conference win of the season. The last time the Ducks were in Boulder, Colorado picked up the first sweep against a Pac-12 opponent in CU history.

In their last match, CU picked up a crucial doubles point with a pair of 7-5 victories from Betina Tokac and Ellen Puzak in the No.3 doubles position and Ky Ecton and Mila Stanojevic in the No.2 doubles position.

Colorado quickly clinched the match with wins from Antonia Balzert in the No.1 singles match, Megan Forster in the No.2 singles match and Stanojevic in the No.3 singles match. All three matches went three sets.

Stanojevic leads the team this spring with a 10-5 record in singles in dual competition. She is undefeated in the No.2, No.3 and No.4 positions with a 9-0 record. Balzert, Forster and Tokac are all tied for second this spring with five wins. In doubles, Tokac and Puzak have the best record at 4-3 in duals.

The Buffs will host a small alumni event Friday after practice and then host an alumni reunion during Sunday's match.
