Murphy had little trouble in singles, handily defeating DePaul's Hannah Smith 6-2, 6-1. Tse also had a strong showing, defeating Eleanor Nobbs of DePaul, 6-2, 6-2, while WSU's Yang Lee posted a straight-set, 6-2, 6-3 win over Lenka Antonijevic of DePaul.

In doubles play, WSU captured two of three matches as Murphy and Tse combined for a 6-3 win over Oregon's Myah Petchey and Jo-Yee Chan, while Lee and Stefaniia Mikhailova completed a 6-1 win over Oregon's Karin Young and Madisen Olsen.
