SAN FRANCISCO - UCLA's Jaime Jaquez Jr., the 2023 Pac-12 Player of the Year, went No. 18 overall to the Miami Heat to headline Pac-12 Men's Basketball's four selections in the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday.

Three additional Pac-12 standouts were taken in the second round to give the Conference four total selections. The Conference has now produced 82 total NBA Draft picks, including 45 in the First Round and 17 in the Lottery, in the Pac-12 era (since 2012).

While the Pac-12 saw a quartet take their talents to the NBA, the decisions of several standouts to return after testing the NBA Draft waters, along with abundant incoming talent, gives Pac-12 Men's Basketball a strong outlook heading into the 2023-24 campaign:

• The Pac-12 will welcome back five First Team All-Conference selections, the league's most since 2007-08.
• In addition, the league's eight returning All-Conference performers and four returning All-Defensive Team selections are the most in the Pac-12 era, and most since 2010-11.
• All totaled, the 14 returning All-Conference, All-Defensive and All-Freshman Team performers are the most in the Pac-12 era (13 entering 2022-23).
• Pac-12 programs combined for nine top-50 signees, the most of any conference in the country.
• Among the signees are six McDonald's All-Americans, equaling the most of any league and the most ever for the Conference since the event's inception in 1978.

Jaime Jaquez Jr., UCLA - No. 18 overall, Miami Heat

• The 2023 Pac-12 Player of the Year's selection marks UCLA's highest Draft pick since 2017 (Lonzo Ball, No. 2 & TJ Leaf, No. 18).
• UCLA's 23rd first-round pick of the modern Draft era (since 1989).
• Set to join former Bruin Kevin Love with the reigning Eastern Conference champion Heat.
• Extends the Pac-12's streak of at least one First Round selection to 35 consecutive years, dating to the start of modern two-round Draft era (1989).

Mouhamed Gueye, Washington State - No. 39 overall, Charlotte Hornets

• Washington State's second Draft selection in the past four years (CJ Elleby, #46 in 2020); the only other time WSU had two picks in four years in the modern Draft era came with Klay Thompson (#11 in 2011) and Kyle Weaver (#38 in 2008).
• WSU's highest pick since Thompson at No. 11 in 2011, and sixth total selection in the modern Draft era (since 1989).
• 2022-23 First Team All-Pac-12 honoree led the Conference with 15 double-doubles.

Amari Bailey, UCLA - No. 41 overall, Charlotte Hornets

• Gives UCLA multiple Draft picks for the first time since 2018.
• 2022-23 Pac-12 All-Freshman Team selection, Conference's second-leading freshman scorer last season (11.2 ppg).

Jaylen Clark, UCLA - No. 53 overall, Minnesota Timberwolves

• UCLA's third selection of Draft, marks the sixth time in the modern Draft era (since 1989) with at least three Draft selections (2017 [4], 2014, 2008, 1998, 1995).
• Fifth consecutive Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year to be taken in NBA Draft (Christian Koloko, Evan Mobley, Tyler Bey, Matisse Thybulle).
• UCLA now has 47 total Draft picks during the modern Draft era (since 1989), tied with Arizona for the most among Pac-12 programs and third-most nationally (Duke 64, Kentucky 63). The Bruins' 24 second-round selections in that span are the most of any collegiate program.
