Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva - Jan. 2, 2024

The Pac-12 today announced its women's basketball performance awards, presented by Nextiva, for games played from December 25 - December 31 and voted on by media who cover the league. See below for this week's recognitions and keep track of the 2023-24 Player of the Year watchlist here:

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jaylyn Sherrod, Gr., G, Colorado, (Birmingham, Ala.) >> 1 G, 34.0 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 4.0 APG, 6.0 SPG, 56.5 FG%

• Career-best 34 points in the victory over No. 12 Utah (76-65) for the first 30-point game by a Buff since Mya Hollingshed’s 32 points on Jan. 17, 2021.
• Season-high six steals, and posted four assists and four rebounds.
• Shot 56.5% (12-23) from the floor.
• Third career Pac-12 Player of the Week award for Sherrod, and Colorado’s ninth all-time.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: JuJu Watkins, Fr., G, USC (Los Angeles) >> 1 G, 27.0 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 2.0 SPG, 3.0 BPG, 91.7 FT%

• Recorded her second career double-double with a game-high 27 points and 11 rebounds against No. 2 UCLA (L, 71-64).
• Tied her career high with three blocks, and added two steals.
• Shot 91.7% (11-12) from the free-throw line, and 33.3% (2-6) from deep.
• Seventh Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award for Watkins, one away from tying the Pac-12 record for most in a season, and USC’s 18th.
