• Posted a 3-0 record at 133 pounds helping Cal Poly capture 3 home dual victories this week
• On Friday in a 39-3 dual win over American, Romney pinned Maxmilian Leete just 24 seconds into their bout, tied for the 11th quickest fall in Cal Poly dual meet history
• Later that night in a come-from-behind 23-15 dual win over Northern Colorado, Romney defeated No. 17 Dominick Serrano by a 4-1 sudden victory, earning a takedown in the first overtime period. It was Romney's 6th victory over a ranked opponent this season 
• Capped his undefeated week in a 23-17 dual win over Air Force on Sunday, securing a 17-1 technical fall (6:47) over Air Force's Bubba Wright
• Improved to 15-5 overall and 4-1 in duals this year
• Ranked 9th in his weight class in national rankings, the highest ranked Pac-12 wrestler at that weight
• First Pac-12 wrestler to win this award twice this season, both coming this month
• First Cal Poly wrestler to ever win this award multiple times
