WSU quarterback Luke Falk shines in first career start

Nov 8, 2014

Talk about a first impression. Redshirt freshman quarterback Luke Falk made his first career start for Washington State against the Oregon State Beavers and definitely looked like he's done this before in the 39-32 Cougars win.

Falk was making it rain all game as seen on Pac-12 Networks, finishing with 471 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. His performance included savvy moves to extend plays, precise throws and alertness. In the clip above, Falk notices the OSU defense is still getting organized, so he calls for a quick snap before finding receiver Vince Mayle for a 48-yard touchdown score.

Cougars fans have a lot to feel optimistic about with Falk replacing Connor Halliday, who was lost for the season last week to a leg injury.
