USC's JT Daniels completed two touchdown passes to Tyler Vaughns (one for two yards and another for 23 yards) in the second quarter to give the Trojans a comfortable 14-0 lead over California entering the second half. But the Golden Bears answered back in the third quarter as the defense capitalized off a team safety. Nearly three minutes later, Cal's Chase Garbers threw a 29 yard pass complete to Vic Wharton III for a touchdown, then later ran another in for five yards to score and seal the Golden Bears' 15-14 victory over USC for the first time since 2003.
