Cal has had 38 players selected to the Pro Bowl on 124 occasions since the game was first played in 1938 as the "NFL All-Star Game". After a five-year run under that name and a seven-year hiatus, the game returned as the Pro Bowl in 1950 and was played every season before the 2021 Pro Bowl was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic. Cal's 124 total selections rank second among current Pac-12 teams, while the Golden Bears' 38 players chosen is tied for third in the conference.
