Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Brian Fay, Sr., Washington (Dublin, Ireland)

• Became the No. 6 performer in NCAA outdoor history over 5,000 meters, smashing the UW school record and taking the NCAA lead in 13:16.52 at the Brian Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific.
• Made up a huge deficit on the final lap to earn "Kick of the Week" status from FloTrack.
• Time is sixth in the world in 2022 and moved him to No. 5 in Ireland athletics history.
• Broke the previous school outdoor 5k record by 11 seconds and led three Huskies under 13:30 in the race.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Abby Nichols, Gr., Colorado (Kettering, Ohio)

• Ran 15:15.95 in the Elite Invitational of the 5,000m at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday night to become the No. 8 performer in NCAA outdoor history.
• Her time, which is 15th in the world this year, is second in CU history behind Jenny Simpson (15:02.25 - 2009; pre-Pac-12) and second in Pac-12 history behind Stanford's Aisling Cuffe (15:11.13 - 2014). 
• Has not lost a race to a collegiate athlete this year.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: Earnest Sears III, Gr., USC (Palmdale, Calif.)

• Won the Elite Invitational men's high jump competition at the Mt. SAC Relays with a personal-best clearance of 7-6 1/2 (2.30m).
• Beat second-place finisher Trey Culver, a former two-time NCAA champion.
• Moved from tied for third to second on USC's all-time high jump list and is tied for the world-leading clearance this year.
• Mark is fifth on the conference's all-time performers list.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Camryn Rogers, Sr., California (Richmond, British Columbia)

• Broke her own collegiate hammer record in the Elite Invitational section at the Mt. SAC Relays.
• Her fifth throw went 248-5 (75.73m), surpassing the previous record (247-9/75.52m) that she set at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships,
• Also tied the Canadian national record in finishing second behind only fellow Olympian Brooke Andersen, who owns the world's No. 1 hammer throw this year.
• Currently has the No. 2 mark in the world this year and leads the NCAA by more than 14 feet.

Pac-12 in the USTFCCCA Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame

A national-best eight standouts from Pac-12 track & field programs are part of the inaugural, 30-member class of the USTFCCCA Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame.

The induction presentation for Jackie Johnson (Arizona State), Jackie Joyner-Kersee (UCLA), Gerry Lindgren (Washington State), Mel Patton (USC), Steve Prefontaine (Oregon), Meg Ritchie (Arizona), Henry Rono (Washington State) and Jenny Simpson (Colorado) will take place at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene, Ore., at 7:30 p.m. PT on Monday, June 6. 

The inaugural group of 30 inductees were chosen solely on their accomplishments while a collegiate athlete and eligibility was limited to men who had completed their collegiate eligibility prior to 2000 and women prior to 2010. The Pac-12's eight members in this first Hall of Fame class are three more than any other conference (Big Ten - 5).
