Season in Review: Track and Field

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford's track and field success was based on an outstanding collection of distance runners, but also with some across-board-representation at the NCAA Championships. 

Stanford got points from every event group on the way to eighth place for the men and 13 for the women in Eugene. Stanford crowned 14 different All-Americans in its 128th season, and third season under J.J. Clark, Stanford's Franklin P. Johnson Director of Track and Field and Cross Country.

The highest national finishes were second, by Ky Robinson in the indoor men's 5,000, and the women's distance medley relay team of Christina Aragon, Samantha Thomas, Ellie Deligianni, and Julia Heymach. 

Outdoors, freshman Udodi Onwuzurike was third in the men's 200, Keyshawn King was fourth in the triple jump and Cole Sprout was fourth in the 10,000. For the women, Christina Aragon was third in the 1,500 and Allie Jones was fourth in the heptathlon. 

Pac-12 champions were Virginia Miller in the women's javelin and Jones in the heptathlon, and Charles Hicks in the men's 10,000.
