#PAC12HOOPS STARTING FIVE:
1 - OREGON STATE claimed the Conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid by winning its first-ever Pac-12 Tournament title last Saturday. It was only the Beavers' second title-game appearance in the tourney's 24 stagings (1988).
• OREGON STATE became the first team picked last in the Pac-12 preseason poll to both reach the Pac-12 title game and win the Conference Tournament crown.
5 - Five Pac-12 programs earned bids to the 2021 NCAA Tournament (COLORADO, OREGON, OREGON STATE, UCLA, USC), the most for the league since a record seven selections in 2016.
• The five bids are tied for the seventh-most in Conference history (7 - 2016; 6 - 2014, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2002; 5 - 2021, 2013, 2003, 2001, 1997, 1995).
6 x 17 - Thanks to OREGON STATE’s run to the Pac-12 Tournament title, the Pac-12 is 1-of-3 leagues to boast six 17-win teams along with the Big 12 and Big Ten.
• The Pac-12 is also 1-of-5 conferences to have at least three 20-win teams (Big Ten - 4; Big 12, Conference USA, Ohio Valley - 3).
82.2% - COLORADO is currently shooting 82.2 percent (419-510) from the free throw line as a team, which ranks second in NCAA Division I behind only Summit League Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament automatic qualifier Oral Roberts (82.4%, 364-442).
• Colorado’s free throw rate is currently ahead of ARIZONA’s Conference-record rate of 78.6 percent (511-650) set in 2003-04 and on the heels of the current NCAA Division I record of 82.2 percent (535-651) set by Harvard in 1983-84.
126 - The Pac-12 played 126 of a possible 130 Conference games in 2020-21 - 116-of-120 scheduled regular-season contests and all 10 games of the 11-team Pac-12 Tournament.
• Only the Missouri Valley (98.9%), Ohio Valley (99.2%) and Big Ten (97.4%) played a larger percentage of their scheduled league contests than the Pac-12 (96.9%).
PAC-12 TIPOFF
ALL-AMERICANS: USC freshman Evan Mobley will earn consensus Second Team All-America honors to give the Pac-12 at least one consensus All-American for the seventh time in the past eight seasons and 124 consensus selections all-time.
• Mobley will be USC's first consensus All-American since Sam Clancy earned Second Team status in 2002.
• Additionally, OREGON’s Chris Duarte has been named a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press and USBWA.
THE UNICORN & THE BROW: USC’s Evan Mobley is the first player in Pac-12 Men’s Basketball history, and only the second in major conference history (Kentucky’s Anthony Davis, 2011-12) to be voted league Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year & Freshman of the Year in the same season.
NON-CONFERENCE: Pac-12 programs combined to post a .732 win percentage (52-19) in countable NCAA Division I non-conference contests in 2020-21.
• The .732 win percentage was the second-best for the Pac-12 over the past five seasons, just behind the .739 posted in 2019-20 when the league was projected to earn as many as six NCAA Tournament bids.
