Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Cooper Teare, R-Jr., OREGON (Alameda, Calif.)

  • Recorded the No. 2 time in the NCAA in the 1,500, running 3:35.97 at the Oregon Twilight.
  • Moved to No. 3 on the Oregon all-time list and secured the Olympic Trials qualifying standard.
  • Knocked more than seven seconds off his previous PR to become the No. 8 performer in collegiate history.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Aneta Konieczek, R-Jr., OREGON (Zbaszyn, Poland)

  • Ran a lifetime best of 2:06.38 at the Oregon Twilight in her first 800 since 2018.
  • Took more than six seconds off her previous PR, won her section and finished fifth overall.
  • Ranks fourth in the Pac-12 in the event.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: Lucas Ribeiro, Sr., OREGON (Belmont, Mass.)

  • Won the discus at the Oregon Twilight with a lifetime best of 176-5 (53.79).
  • Added more than two feet to his season best and more than a foot to his previous PR from 2017.
  • Moved to No. 11 in the Pac-12 in the event.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Ida Eikeng, So., WASHINGTON (Porsgrunn, Norway)

  • Moved to No. 3 in school history and 19th in the NCAA this season with a personal-best javelin throw of 171-1 (52.16) at the Ken Shannon Invitational.
  • Also had a season-best mark of 44-8 ¼ (13.62) to win the shot put in the final UW home meet of the season.
